CWL’s What to Read – A Different, Yet Simple Mailing List

Mailing List Logo

Blogs, sites, social networks, and news sites are all vying for your time. With all that noise, it can be difficult to ingest the most compelling and useful information out there. In the past, I’ve resisted the idea of being part of that noise because I didn’t want to contribute to it. Over time, I realized that a great portion of my time is spent weeding through the noise. I do it so you don’t have to. Note: This has become a weekly newsletter. Please see here for more info.

My guess is that you aren’t like me and don’t have the kind of time I do to go over hundreds and hundreds of stories to get to the good stuff. I do. In fact, this is what I do on a daily basis. On a typical day, I might see close to 2,000 headlines to get to useful and intriguing content. I look for the articles that matter and the stories behind the stories you talk about. This is where my mailing list comes in. I want to help you get to what you need to see and cut the crap. Use me as your personal concierge (of sorts) and save you the time spent looking.

I read all kinds of articles that stretch from technology to humanities and everything in between. I’m interested in almost any topic as long as it’s interesting and thought-provoking (heck, and sometimes a little funny). I’m not trying to start a news service here, that’s not what I do. What you’ll get are the stories that tend to reach my stream of consciousness and pique my interest. This will start a little slow, but with your help, I’ll get this going smoothly in no time. This is CWL’s What to Read.

What you’ll get when subscribing:
1. No fluff. I keep it very simple
2. A short summary of why I think each story is worth your time
3. Morning targeted – you’ll see interesting stuff to read during your morning coffee
4. No one writes these but me. Replying to the email replies directly to me (and I read all replies).

My promise:
1. Your email address will not be given to or sold to anyone; not to other companies and especially not advertisers.
2. I respect your wish to unsubscribe, every one includes a one-click option to do so
3. If there is something you don’t like, tell me and I will improve.
