We’re Back! A New Logo, A New Blog And A New Attitude

Having taken a break early on in January, I’m back feeling quite refreshed and ready to hit you with ALLOT more info, tips, news and (hopefully) my spin on what’s going on in the world of technology. 2010 was a great year for blogging here at Calwell, but I needed to make it better. So, this year, I’m going to change things up a significant amount. You know, keep you guys on your toes.  Here’s a rundown of some of  the changes you see very shortly:

A new set of logos
After a number of months of looking for a new design to refresh the aging Calwell logo, I had seen a number of different styles and ideas to reflect what Calwell does. Every one of them done by talented designers who deserve all the recognition I can muster. Earlier designs of our Logo were created by the incredible Soraya Sarif of Communic8. Her interest and enthusiasm is what really drove this project forward. Her original designs were incredible.

After a bit of a gestation period (totally my fault), the idea of a re-design came up again and a new and amazing designer took the reigns. Anna D’Amico took this idea an really ran with it – and what she bought back was the basis for the new logo. Through the wonderful efforts of both Soraya and Anna – Calwell has a new logo and it’s pretty amazing at that!

A side note: Both Anna and Soraya are available t be contacted if you have any thoughts, questions, or business. I can HIGHLY recommend both of these great designers, so do give them a chance to look at your next branding project – you won’t be disappointed. Contact me if you would like to know more.

A new blog
Often I had found myself writing personal musings here on Blogging Calwell and it just didn’t quite fit in this place. So, what I’m doing is starting a new blog called Blogging Kevin that will contain details about my personal exploits, travel experiences and various thoughts that probably would be best to call “personal”. This change should make the directive of Blogging Calwell much clearer and ensure the articles you see here are not mixed up with my personal ranting.

This is a work in progress as I (a) move the current personal blogs and (b) begin writing new articles. Bear with it.

A new attitude
How is it that I can say that and have nothing to back it up? Hmmm, well, I can’t measure how my attitude has changed, but I can tell you that I have a renewed interest in things that should effect my attitude about this blog greatly. You should see more of an edge from me, or, maybe not. I’m just saying.
