I really thought that IT Guys were really being left out of this whole “shit.. says” meme. So, without further delay, I decided to make my own! Check this baby out and let me know what you think!
Most of these blogs offer a big question and tend tease some sort of substance, but when you get into the blog – your offered nothing more than an expansion on the initial question. The trouble with this is that you’re offered nothing in the way of new or useful information, and in more cases, the actual question was never answered. So, let me take you down a dark tunnel of questionable blogs and other pet-peeves of 2011.
As many of you have heard, the file sharing service Megaupload.com has been shut down and owners of the service have been arrested in a large scale operation labelled “Mega Conspiracy”. What you find instead of Megaupload site now is an FBI takedown notice. This news has been widely circulated in major news outlets recently and comes just as many online protesters claimed a win after getting the U.S. Government to back off on SOPA.

If you are an Apple iPad 2 or iPhone 4S user, today brings great news. There is now an Untethered jailbreak for your devices. Detailes can be had at the greenpois0n.com website. It appears as though there is only an OSX version of the Jailbreak with Windows coming shortly. Check out details on this new release here. I’ll update as I find out more.

Many of the products that will be on the shelves later in the year end up being shown at this conference. Running from January 10th to the 13th, it’s short – but it makes up for that brevity in sheer volume of interesting products. These days, I mainly watch with an eye to seeing what’s next in technology. So, let me take you through some of the more interesting stuff to come out of this year’s show.
Many folks seem to be a bit confused about this. Since I’m a frequent visitor of Starbucks stores time and time again I hear that it’s not possible to pay for purchases at the counter with an Android phone. I hear that there is no official Starbucks application on the Android platform. I hear all sorts of things, so let me set the record straight on this so you have happily ditch (or, keep it in a safe place) that Starbucks card and start paying with your Android phone.

After watching (online) the just-as-old-as-I-am 39th season premier episode of CBCs’ Marketplace program, I’m left with numerous thoughts about the state of business, the state of our aged system and the general state of our venerable media outlet – the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
Google Currents is a news reading application made for the iPhone/iPad and Android. While this application is only available in the United States, you can still get your hands on it. So, why would Google – already offering a newsreader – offer another news reader? Is this a better experience than Google Reader? Read on for more about this interesting new application.
