Meeting Minutes Editor ScreenshotI get ideas for stuff on a near constant basis. Sometimes older software I created for a particular purpose comes back around and captures my attention. Meeting Minutes is one such application. I wrote it for a client that needed to keep track of meetings and also wanted to give users in the office tools to read and comment on these meetings. At the time, I was just trying to solve a particular problem. Now, this is something you can use in your own company to track meetings. Let’s take a closer look.

Nobody puts “IT” in a Compartment

Best Buy LogoMy reading habits are often too sluggish for the real-time mass of information of the day. One such older colum I came across was Robert X. Cringely’s Amazon.com isn’t killing Best Buy: blame Best Buy IT. I do find that, after all these years, Cringely is a good source for insights.

Since I don’t have first hand knowledge of IT inside of Best Buy, I’m not going prove Cringley right or wrong on his assessment of IT inside of Best Buy. But, if what he says is true, Best Buy is certainly facing some grievous struggles.

Introducing The Calwell Android Application!

This is huge! It’s certainly not news that the mobile platform has a big future. But, what every company should be doing is finding ways to embrace new technologies and find new ways to reach people. To that end, we have decided to build a mobile application for the Android platform that allows anyone to get updates on anything and everything Calwell related.
