Total Commander 7.57a Released – This great file manager that we’ve covered here in the past was updated (naturally under the radar). The update is free for all registered users of the application and includes a few bug fixes. Details of all the updates are found in the HISTORY.TXT file that accompanies the release.
No great explanation required, I thought I would just link you to some interesting technology related stuff I’ve found on the Internet.
Surely you have heard of Electronic Books? You may have also heard of those unscrupulous few who download books they haven’t paid for? But, have you heard of Book Sharing?
I have in the past looked at tools like Wifi Stumbler, Ebeddit.in, Password Protection tools, and even a crop of Google-Related stuff. This has all lead us to today’s stellar edition of tools and utilities that I like to call the Swiss Army Knife tools. These tools, you may not use all the time, but when you do use them – they are perfect for the task at hand.
Another themed post! This time I look at – Google-related tools. I’m a Google Apps user and use all sorts of their great services. Today I wanted to look at some of the companion tools you’ll see for the various Google services available. I tend to gravitate towards free tools – but if, for some reason a tool is not free – I will point that out and fill you in on pricing details. Today I look at tools such as Good Noows, Docs PDF/PowerPoint Viewer, Google Apps Migration for Microsoft Outlook.
Another one! This time with a theme – Password Protection tools. I tend to gravitate towards free tools – but if, for some reason a tool is not free – I will point that out and fill you in on pricing details. Today I look at tools such as Keepass, 1Password, and LastPass.
Today I look at: embedit.in, Second Shell, and Link Different.
This could be an ongoing theme, I suspect. The sheer volume of tools and tools I see just scream out to be discovered by someone just like you. I come across so many, I’ve decided to start sharing some of them. I have found a bunch more that you should take a look at when you have a chance. I should also note – I tend to gravitate towards free tools – but if, for some reason a tool is not free – I will point that out and fill you in on pricing details.
Nirsoft has a great history of making utilities, these are free and very useful. Just today, Nirsoft released a new one that, as he says he “created this utility within a few days without planning to create it before”. I like it!
