The next big thing seems to be payment options, and to that end Canada looks to benefit from some really compelling options from start-ups looking to make a mark. One such company, Stripe, is billed as “Payments for Developers” – but that’s not the full story. Stripe now has some very compelling reasons why Canadian small businesses might be interested in this service.
If you’ve been watching the news, no doubt the trickle of mobile payment details has been percolating in your mind. NFC (Near Field Communications) is NOT in the iPhone 5 and Starbucks appears to be doing just fine without it. The idea of paying for stuff with your phone is not a new concept, but the race to marry a technology with controlling interest in a lucrative payment system appears at it’s height.
Moving up to more advanced printing capabilities can be a tough road for small businesses. When looking for something that can duplex (print on both sides of the same paper) or connect wirelessly, finding the printer that fits your exact needs may cause the price of the device to get much more expensive than once thought. It’s been a while since the great web series Everything is a Remix was concluded. If you haven’t, you should still catch the four parts of that series. Truly amazing stuff only reinforced by those around us. Take the amazing actor-director Ben Affleck in an incredible interview at details.com, he says: “The Friends of Eddie Coyle was […]
An article on New York Observer caught my interest for being a lot of things (despite meta). It truly does seems that all blogs are excessively covering anything Apple and, for that reason Ryan Holiday thinks Apple events: “…a staged pseudo-event where the lazy media and a powerful corporation conspire to pad each other’s coffers.” While I think that’s a tad […]

It is so incredible how far blogging has come since the early days. Back then, it was only possible by hobbling together HTML code and placing it on your web server. Now, what’s possible is truly amazing, easy and in many ways it let’s you focus on the task of writing – not the technical details behind the writing (well, for the most part anyway). A new blogging platform called Throwww aims to be an even simpler way of blogging.
What are theoretical and real possibilities that an iPhone 5 will work? Let’s take a look at the details.
