Total Commander 7.57a Released – This great file manager that we’ve covered here in the past was updated (naturally under the radar). The update is free for all registered users of the application and includes a few bug fixes. Details of all the updates are found in the HISTORY.TXT file that accompanies the release.

Today I wanted to look at some of the companion tools you’ll see for the various Google services available. I tend to gravitate towards free tools – but if, for some reason a tool is not free – I will point that out and fill you in on pricing details. Today I look at tools such as Good Noows, Docs PDF/PowerPoint Viewer, Google Apps Migration for Microsoft Outlook.

Of the many utilities I come across (desktop/mobile/web-based), I rarely keep them or use them long enough to give them the credit due. One of the most important things you use (and probably don’t know) are the software utilities that sit on your many personal computing devices. Let me highlight some of the best I’ve seen recently.
