After my last, short experience with a iPad, I really wanted to get my hands on another one. Having only 24 hours to work with the last time, didn’t give me the time to really sink my teeth into using this thing. This time, I might even have it permanently. In fact, I will type this entire blog on this new iPad to really get a feel for how well the iPad keyboard works and feels.
The Starter Edition of Office is intended to be installed on New and OEM computers and is ad-supported. This copy of Office is intended for free use and only includes limited-feature copies of Microsoft Word 2010 and Microsoft Excel 2010. It will run only on Vista SP1 and Windows – with no support for Windows XP.
It’s coming! Today should be the big announcement of Froyo, Google’s newest Operating System. I’ll be LiveBlogging this event today. Thanks to a few delays today, I really came to the party late. I was looking forward to seeing Google’s I/O presentations live online at http://www.youtube.com/GoogleDevelopers. I sat down, and started watching about 5 minutes into the presentation.
What Soluto intends to do is allow the user to focus on the boot process, identify what applications are slowing down a computer and then let the user improve this by disabling certain items. Soluto has also embarked on creating what’s called the PC Genome which looks to map problems and solutions in a large database allowing for future streamlining of the solution process.

Eventually their Twitter stream starts growing to point where they can’t possibly keep up with all the tweets. A new study by PARC and MIT sheds some light on this problem and they even offer a new client.
This device will not be available here in Toronto until sometime in May – so imagine my joy at getting to play now. I really wanted to see what the hype was all about. I had heard and seen many reports – but for many, the mantra had been “You have to see it and touch it to understand how amazing it is”. So, today, I will do that.
Of the many utilities I come across (desktop/mobile/web-based), I rarely keep them or use them long enough to give them the credit due. One of the most important things you use (and probably don’t know) are the software utilities that sit on your many personal computing devices. Let me highlight some of the best I’ve seen recently.
I have come to understand some of the best ways to make use of the sometimes massive stream of data by using the keyboard only. This is great because I can see in reverse chronology what I haven’t seen before and by moving through the list with the “M” and “N” keys I can mark the articles as I go through. The trouble with this is that I always have to keep propping up the stream. Google Reader needs to offer the feature of keeping the stream centered.
